Finance professionals are putting  big data tools to use to drive revenue

Online job search site TheLadders matches senior-level professionals with high-paying jobs, and the company is investing in data analytics to make those matches more accurate for users.

But the company’s financial department will benefit from the new focus on analytics as well.

“Normally, finance is more focused on business performance  outcomes,” said Rakib Azad, the  company’s senior manager for financial planning  and analysis. “But leveraging our data will allow us
to proactively analyze the drivers of the business.”

As the amount of customer information grows  exponentially, companies are struggling to figure  how to leverage this new information. TheLadders  is part of a growing movement of finance  professionals putting big data tools to use.
