Discovery, Tranquility, and Littlefield partying on 4th of July

Patriotic Americans — or anyone, really, who’s looking for a party — will find plenty to do on OpenSim grids this week.

Begin your day out on Discovery Grid, where the party starts at 10:30 a.m. Pacific Time at discoveryfrid.net:8002:Discovery Events 2.

Then head over to Tranquility Grid, where the celebration starts at 4 p.m. Pacific Time at tranquility-grid.info:8002:The Pier.

Finally, round out the day with a bang on Littlefield Grid, from 8 p.m. Pacific time until 1 a.m., at lfgrid.com:8002:Independence Island. Be sure to be there at might for the fireworks show.

But before you go, check out the Independence Day-themed outfits on the Kitely Market or go shopping for seasonal merch in-world at DigiWorldz Hyper Mall at login.digiworldz.com:8002:DigiWorldz Hyper Mall.

Discovery Grid

Discovery Grid is going all out this week with a celebration that combines the Fourth of July with the grid’s third anniversary.

There will be fireworks, of course, live music and what the grid bills as the “first pyromusical ever on OpenSim.” Festivities start at 10:30 a.m. Pacific Time on the Discovery Events 2 region.

There will be an encore celebration on July 6.

In addition, the grid is holding a grand opening for its Trail Riders region today, Sunday. Horse races start at 3 p.m. Pacific Time, and DJ Antoinette will be hosting a party at 4 p.m.

Anyone can participate in a race, and winners will get cash prizes in the form of Gloebit currency.

After that, visitors can come back anytime to explore the horseback riding trails on two-by-two scenic region.

The free classes are held every Tuesday, starting at 2:30 p.m. Pacific Time, and cover a variety of topics including scripting, building, texturing, terraforming, landscaping and using Firestorm advance lighting features.

Instructors include Govega Sachertorte, Locked Semaphore, and Pasha Theas. No registration is needed, and class materials will be provided to attendees. Hypergrid teleport to hg.neverworldgrid.com:8002:Builders Classroom.
