In 2025, she won the Azbee National Gold Award from the American Association of Business Press Editors for her Network World coverage of quantum computing, and an Azbee Regional Silver Award for VMware coverage. In 2024, she won an Azbee Regional Silver Award for her coverage of ChatGPT’s security implications for CSO magazine. In 2020, she won an Azbee National Gold Award for her Network World article Private 5G keeps Whirlpool driverless vehicles rolling. In April 2018, she received the Azbee Regional Silver Impact/Investigative award at the New England ASBPE Awards of Excellence for the article “What is a supply chain attack?”
She speaks regularly at industry conferences, both traditional and online, about artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and virtual reality. In 2024, she was the keynote speaker at the Data & AI Summit 2024 in Lima, Peru, in front of over 1,000 attendees and more than 100 other speakers, including senior executives from Google, Microsoft, Dell, and PwC. In 2022, she was a panel moderator for a cybersecurity discussion at the SANS Attack Surface Management Solutions Forum and has also spoken at and moderated panels at numerous other technology conferences and webinars.
Since 2015, she’s repeatedly been a judge of the CSO50 annual cybersecurity awards andthe Epica Awards.

Attended three-day writing conference at Harvard University. Errol Morris, Molly Ivins, Malcolm Gladwell, Peter Turnley, Rick Bragg, Roy Peter Clark, The Kitchen Sisters, E. O. Wilson and more than a dozen other acclaimed storytellers covered the nuts-and-bolts of reporting, writing, and editing narrative, and focused on two themes – carrying narrative beyond mawkishness to illuminate complex institutional and societal stories; and, integrating editors into the narrative process.
